We're lucky enough to call Melo our neighborhood coffee shop, and on any given day you can probably find us there grabbing lattes, cortados, cold brew or straight drip as we make our way around the neighborhood or to the playground down the street. Located inside the Flatiron building on University Ave, the space is bright and eclectic with saturated colors, patterns, and rotating work from local artists on the walls. High quality regular and specialty coffee drinks are a given, but they knock it out of the park every time with their delicious savory and sweet breakfast options and gourmet sandwiches and salads for lunch. When warm weather (eventually) arrives, take advantage of their large, sun-soaked outdoor seating area in front of the building.

Personal favorites: Spicy Fried Egg BLT, Breakfast Burrito, Brunch Burger, Burrata Toast, and Brown Butter Pecan Pancakes + an Uncle Marble (latte w/ cinnamon + agave).

In the summer, this space in front is full of tables

Try being grouchy in this corner, it’s impossible
